Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup almond butter
- 6 tbsp coco powder
- 1/2 cup coco nibs optional
- 1 tbsp maple syrup optional
- 4-5 tbsp water or non diary milk
Servings: people
Instructions
- If your dates are really dry, you will want to soak them for couple hours, they need to be soft, but not mushy. I always at least rinse my dry fruit
- Blend together almond butter, dates, maple syrup (if using) and water/milk. You may need to add a little more liquid if the mixture is to dry
- Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl, add coco nibs, if using and mix well
- Line a box or tray with a cling film and press the mix in, cover and refrigerate for at least couple of hours. You don’t really need to, the brownie is ready to eat, as soon as made. It is also great kept in the freezer, as it doesn’t freeze completely, and you can still cut it.
Recipe Notes
You can also form little balls with the mix, to create truffles. Toss them in some more coco powder.
And eat at your own risk, as it might be one of those things that once you start, you can’t stop.
