I was really struck by the statistic he shared at the end of the second video: we’re 171% more likely to be overweight if our friends are overweight and only 40% more likely, if our parents and siblings are overweigh. That’s how much peer pressure influences our behaviour. Isn’t it crazy?
One important reason I feel he missed out is looking at weight as an opportunity for exploration and growth. Because sometimes you can eat a perfect diet, but if things are out of alignment in your life you still might be holding onto the unwanted weight. And that’s where I work with my clients.
